is this the 4 piece braid? somoeone said that you need to use 2 strands of string and 2 strands of hair. I dont quite understand/ cant see what you are doing so i cant tell if you are using 3 or 4 strands

Nice. Mane braiding and putting the tail into a bun are the last things I need to learn. The Clyde farms I help with always seem to be running late the morning of a show and I haven’t had time to really learn how to do it. Got the harnesses and lines down… guess I could practice in the barn during the week… but don’t always have time if we are driving them that day… or if there are repairs needed from the previous show… lol!

I use Polyester Stretch fabric for a draft horse they are usually 10 Feet Long and 1 1/2″ Wide. I have rolled the mane both ways. You can leave hair or you can clean up the neck to make it look longer by rolling all of the hair into the mane roll. I have noticed that a lot of Canadians roll all of the mane.

Do you use the full mane? or just a a part of it? so there’s still hair hanging down?

I drive a pair of ponies that I want to do this to. What’s the fabric?
