I took a break from horses for about 3 years due to moving and schoolwork. I was an intermediate rider before the break so I will need refresher courses. I’m going to be actually buying my first horse. I would just ride the horses in the stable at the old farm before. I’m interested in a draft horse because the place I would board my horse is also looking for a horse to plow. They made a deal that I could have a lower rent if I plowed. That would be all nice and dandy, but I haven’t really heard of them doing much more than driving. I will be riding this horse in my last two years of 4H so I would like to know if a draft horse would be able to perform my favorite Western events. Any good stories with your draft horse (especially Shires)?

I am moving to Ireland soon and want to know what breed of horse would do best on a 3- 4 acre piece of land. I want a sort of draft horse, but a real friendly one. Most of the drafts that I’ve met are a bit nippy. I work 3 days a week, 11 hours a day and would have a lot of time to spend with him.

My cousins and I are ready to risk the challenge of trying to take care of a horse. We have been looking at petfinder and we saw a horse and we really like him. (they are ponies and they are really cute.

those are the ones we really want. We need to know if there are any availiable stables in the southeastern area of wisconsin and how hard it is to take care of them. If anyone can tell me my cousins and I would be really happy.

Why can’t i find one? I recently learned of them and am very interested in the breed but, can’t find one. ANYWHERE. Is this breed becoming extinct? Does anybody know of a breeder or a horse of this breed for sale? I know all about the breed but can’t seem to find a horse in the flesh to even look at much less for sale.
