These are all Shire/TWH:
(obviously more Shire than TWH)
I wouldn’t do it. Are you trying to get a gaited Shire or a feathered TWH? Because those are both recessive traits, so chances are you’ll end up with a strange-looking, featherless, trotting horse.

I have to agree with Mandy, I don’t think you are going to get the best looking horse, I think they are two breeds better left to be pure breeds myself. But that is my opinion

as a trail and all around horse, i think a shire/twh cross will be ok..but if i were you i would breed pure breds, because if everyone is big on breeding cross’s there will be no pure bred’s left and the base breeds that you use to cross will no longer exist.

I thought you turned that TWH out with the wild mustangs to make babies? Busy stud.
edit: Adding on to what Rosi said…a heavy draft-type horse gaiting would be brutal on the horse’s joints; gaiting isn’t optimum for extremely large horses. Just like long-term serious jumping isn’t a good idea for a Percheron. Gaiting breeds are typically light bodied horses. There’s a reason for that.

Yeah like Freedom said! Weren’t you going to turn this stud horse out with the mustangs?
You’d probably get a larged bodied horse that may or may NOT gait.
