you can ride all of them….

the best draft horse breeds to ride are usually a Xbreed crossed with a lighter horse. I own a percheron X who is a great jumper and a really enthusiastic horse… love him to bits….
also, clydesdale X TB make a pretty good all round horse.

I have been riding on the hunter circuit and have rode many draft horses.
The best one for riding depends on what you want to do with it. If you want a stylish looking trail, pleasure horse, your best bet would be a Gypsy Vanner. If you want to jump, I would think that a Percheron or a Clydesdale would be great. Any draft that is trained can be ridden, but I think these are the best. Hope this helps!

    Haflinger, Friesian, Vanner.

I used to ride my Grandfather’s draft horse when I was little. He had a very broad back and my legs were very short. You get the picture. I think you can ride any breed of draft horse if you want to. It is a long way to fall off a big horse if he gets fractious.

Percherons are usually very spirited and fun to ride. Clydes are usually calmer.
If you are looking for the best draft to ride, I would say a “draft pony” like a half linger or a fjord. They are unusually smart and trainable. If your going for a “real” draft, gypsy vanners are great.

it depends on the horse all are different so no particular breed is best. ALL horses are rideable

You could ride any of them, but I love the gypsy vanners and some friends of mine have some shires. they are so beautiful and look so magical.

Its better to ride a draft cross, but Belgians you can ride.
They don’t have a saddle for larger drafts, but you can ride ******** on shires and such.

I own an Irish Draught mare, and unlike the name suggests these horses are not heavy in build they have a very good confirmation , they are known for being sensible and kind hearted, as the other answers have said she is crossed with a TB, and we compete in all aspects of riding from dressage to eventing and even some show class s. Check out the Irish Draught Horse Society web site, for more info,
