Is it true that draft horses have shorter lifespans than regular horses?Why?

    The oldest draft horse was named Monty and died in New South Wales, Australia, at the age of 52 years. poor guy

    It’s not guarenteed that they won’t live as long but it’s common. The same is true for most species, big dogs, giant humans. I think it’s just harder to keep a large body running as it ages. Just do your best to make her happy, healthy and comfortable as she gets older and love her.

    I’ve only hear that horses(all kinds, no matter what) live from 25 to 35 years.

    But it’s rarely to find a horse that lived through that. So, I say is not true. Keep a horse healthy and it should live more =)
