Hello Hitchmasters,
I checked again with them, and they said it was still on because they left it on. Not needed, just on. Also, they said there is often more than one right way to do things with horses. So, I guess you’ll have to just do things differently from each other. They, too, have been working with draft horses for many years.

Hi there Hitchmasters,
I checked with our horse folks, and got this explaination: “the team was being used for multiple activities that day including wagons, not just skidding logs.”

I hope this answers your question, and thanks for the feedback.
